Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I confirm this kit fits my engine?
First, verify your engine's model and year against the "Compatible Engine Models" table. Second, cross-reference your existing part number with the numbers listed in the "Part Number Cross-Reference" section, including the primary OEM part number 67F-W0078-00-00.
What are the signs my water pump is failing?
Common signs of a failing water pump include the engine overheating, a weak or intermittent water stream from the tell-tale outlet, or visible damage like cracks and brittleness on the old impeller upon inspection.
How often should I replace the water pump impeller?
For preventative maintenance, we recommend inspecting the impeller annually and replacing the entire water pump kit every 1-2 years or 100-200 hours of use, whichever comes first, especially if operating in saltwater or debris-heavy water.
OEM vs. Aftermarket?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.
