Installation Guide

1. Shut off the seacock to stop water intake and turn off all power to the generator.
2. Place a suitable container below the pump and open the drain plug to empty the housing.
3. Unscrew the four bolts holding the pump's cover plate in place.
4. Carefully remove the old cover gasket and O-ring, noting their positions.
5. Use impeller pullers or two pairs of pliers to grip and pull the old impeller straight out of the housing.
6. Thoroughly clean the inside of the pump housing and the cover plate, removing any salt deposits or debris.
7. Lightly lubricate the new impeller with glycerin or water-based lubricant (do not use petroleum grease).
8. Insert the new impeller into the housing, rotating it in the direction of engine operation to bend the vanes correctly.
9. Position the new gasket and O-ring on the pump body.
10. Reattach the cover plate and tighten the bolts in an alternating, star-like pattern to ensure an even seal.
11. Close the drain plug, re-open the seacock, and inspect for any immediate leaks.
12. Start the generator for a few seconds and confirm that water is flowing properly from the exhaust outlet.
