Installation Guide

1. Position a suitable drain pan under the lower unit.
2. Using a large flathead screwdriver or socket, remove the lower gearcase drain plug screw.
3. Remove the upper vent plug screw located above the drain plug.
4. Allow the gear oil to drain completely from the lower unit.
5. Clean the drain and vent plugs, removing any metal shavings from the magnetic tips.
6. Remove and discard the old gasket from the drain plug.
7. Install the new gasket over the threads of the drain plug.
8. Begin filling with new gear lube through the bottom drain hole.
9. Continue filling until lube flows out of the upper vent hole, indicating the gearcase is full.
10. Reinstall the upper vent plug screw first, then quickly reinstall the lower drain plug screw.
11. Tighten both plugs securely, but do not overtighten.
