Installation Guide

1. Ensure proper fit before installing. There must be at least two to three inches of the upper skeg remaining to secure the new guard. If the skeg is bent, it may need to be reshaped for a correct fit.
2. File down any spurs or jagged edges on the existing skeg to ensure the guard can slide on smoothly.
3. Position the guard onto the skeg. Use a leather, rubber, or wooden mallet to gently tap it until it is fully seated.
4. Using the two pre-drilled holes in the guard as a pilot, drill through the skeg with the supplied 1/4" drill bit. Install the stainless steel hardware using the hex keys; the hardware includes a thread locker sealant to prevent loosening.
